Donation Requests

     The Ice Hawks understand the importance of giving back to the community. Unlike many other sports organizations the Ice Hawks and the MnJHL are non profit organizations with Federal 501 c status. The Ice Hawks budget is funded by ticket receipts, advertising, beer/pizza sales, merchandise sales and player tuition. We do not receive operational funds from any charitable organizations nor any funds from arena concessions. As a non profit, our commitment is to fund the services we provide to our players. Thus we are limited in our ability to donate to other agencies. We do try to meet as many requests as possible.

     We receive many requests for donations and we wish it were possible to honor all of them since most are very worthwhile causes. Please know that all requests are given serious consideration. Due to the volume of requests we receive, the following guidelines must be followed to assure fairness.

     Please mail your request on your organization's official letterhead and should include the organization's federal tax id and a statement of 501 status. The letter should include an explanation of your fundraising or special event, the date of your event, and contact information. Telephone, email, fax or in person requests will not be accepted.. Please give us at least three weeks to respond to your request, and understand that the Ice Hawks cannot fulfill all requests we receive. Please mail your request to:

Request Eligibility

     Requests are limited to non-profit organizations located in the Rochester area. Exceptions are made on a limited basis.

     Requests related to the following are ineligible to receive donations:

•    Requests for operating expenses and other monetary donations
•    Individuals or individual pursuits, fraternal, labor or political groups
•    Award and incentive programs (for profit)
•    Donations to any for profit entities

     All decisions made by the Ice Hawks are final.
