Nick Fatis Head Coach

Nick is beginning his 13th season as the Ice Hawks’ head coach and his 16th year of coaching at the junior level. He has led the Ice Hawks to 6 MJHL and 7 Bush Cup Championships and 9 successive National Tournament Appearances. He has 450 wins as a Junior Hockey Head Coach. He holds a Level 4 Coaching Certificate with USA Hockey. Nick began his junior coaching career as an Ice Hawk assistant in 1997. He previously served as head coach of the Las Vegas Flames (Midget) and as the arena supervisor at the Santa Fe Ice Arena, Las Vegas, NV. Nick played junior hockey in the Western States Hockey League, the Minnesota Junior Hockey League and had a brief stint with the semi-pro Las Vegas Aces. Nick is a full time coach and spends off seasons recruiting and advising his players. Nick is committed to player development and takes great pride in preparing players for college hockey.  Nick and his wife Nicky live in Rochester with their daughter Colette (10) and sons Alex (8) and Evan (4).

Corey Dubois Asst. Coach

Corey is in the 11th year as an Assistant Coach with the Ice Hawks.  He coached with the Ice Hawks in LeSueur and then again, later after their move to Rochester. He has previously coached at the youth, high school as well as the junior levels.  Corey played High School hockey in Red Wing, MN, helping the Wingers to 2 straight State Tournament appearances. He played 2 seasons with the Ice Hawks where he served as a team captain.  Corey lives in Rochester with his wife Mandy, and children Ethan. Nolan and Colin.

 
 
Jayson Peterson Asst. Coach

Jayson is in his third season of coaching with the Ice Hawks. He served as a co-captain of the Ice Hawks’ first bronze medal winning National Tournament team of 2004.  A Bemidji, Minnesota native, he graduated from Iowa State University where he majored in Marketing.  He had a successful college hockey career.  He was co-captain and leading scorer of the 2007 League Champion team.  Away from the rink, Jayson has completed his Master’s degree and works as a Business Solutions Advisor in the software industry.
 
Todd Mclrath  Assistant Coach

This is Todd’s second season coaching at the junior level.  Todd brings a wealth of Junior hockey experience.  He began his junior hockey career in 2002 with the United States National Team Development Program in Ann Arbor, Michigan.  From there, he began a three year career in the USHL with the Danville Wings and the Indiana Ice.  He was awarded a full athletic scholarship to D-1, Bowling Green State University.  Todd also played two seasons of minor professional hockey in the AAHL, ECHL and CHL. He graduated with a BA in Psychology from Bowling Green St. University. Todd’s goal is to pursue a coaching career.
 
Justin Bowder Equipment Manager

Justin has served with the Ice Hawks in a variety of capacities since 1999.  He is currently responsible for handling all equipment and preparing the players to participate in games. Justin has been in involved in hockey as long as he can remember. His family roots are in the hockey hotbed of Northern Minnesota's Iron Range.  He was raised in Mankato, MN where he played in the Mankato Youth Hockey Association.   He and Coach Nick have been close friends for over 25 years and played together for a few seasons of youth hockey.  Away from the rink, Justin is a resident of Rochester where he is employed by Rochester Toyota.

 
Bryton Dahl   Asst Equip Mgr

Bryton joined the Ice Hawks as in the later part of the 2011-12 season as an Assistant Equipment Manager.  He began his hockey career at age three and played hockey at John Marshall H.S. in Rochester.  In addition to his duties with the Ice Hawks, Bryton is currently a Rochester Police Explorer with the Rochester Police Dept and also currently works at Kwik-Trip.  Bryton goal is to study Law Enforcement in college.

 
Jesse Bos Player Liaison
Jesse is a long time Ice Hawks supporter who joins Coach Fatis’ staff in a player liaison capacity.  Jesse assists Coach Fatis in helping players with hockey related off ice needs.  Jesse is a Rochester resident and an avid fan.
