Coach Fatis- We (the coaches and scouts) attend regional exposure camps throughout the country to scout players. This summer we have attended camps and showcase tournaments in places like Michigan, Indianapolis, Chicago, Denver, Las Vegas Wisconsin and Tennesee. Hockey is really a year round sport for serious players. We really don't have much of an off season any more. We attend all the Minnesota camps and try to get to the regional camps whenever possible. The regional camps attract a lot of the Eastern, Western states players. Most people may not be aware that the South is now also producing a number of players. When the NHL moved into southern markets like, Florida, Texas, North Carolina and California, a lot of youngsters got into hockey. By now that original group has begun to approach Jr. age. We are fortunate to be in Minnesota where we get to see many of the best young players but now we need to get out across the country to a lot of other see really strong players. Thanks for asking.
